My Story

God is writing a story in each of our lives. Here is the story He has begun writing in mine:

I am a pilot...
I began flying in 2007 when I was 18 years old at Tara Field, south of Atlanta. I then attended Jacksonville University (JU) where I studied Aviation Management and Flight Operations and  served as a flight instructor after completing my flight training.

While at JU, I realized God was calling me to serve overseas as a missionary pilot. After trying to tell God "no" for almost a year, I finally accepted His calling and started looking into the next step: becoming an aircraft mechanic.

Who became a mechanic...
In the fall of 2011, I moved to Lynchburg, VA to work as a flight instructor at Liberty University before starting Aviation Maintenance Technician School. After a challenging year of maintenance school, I earned my aircraft mechanic license in 2012 and worked as a mechanic at Liberty University in various capacities for the next year.

In January 2014, I left Liberty for yet another adventure: moving to Shelby, NC where I would be a missionary candidate at Compass Aviation. As a candidate at Compass, I gained valuable maintenance experience on a variety of aircraft while also having the unique opportunity of providing flight training to other missionary candidates in preparation for missionary service.

To prepare for overseas service.

My heart is to serve as a missionary pilot/mechanic, helping bring the Gospel to unreached areas of the world. I was nearly ready to go with one organization when a certain helicopter mechanic asked me to marry him! That brought about a slight change of plans, and we are now preparing to serve together with Mercy Air. Our wedding is in August and after that we will head over to South Africa!
